Coming to a dealership near you, the new 2022 Volkswagen Golf GTI is getting a lot more features for its standard trim.

The performance-oriented GTI is getting new 19-inch wheels as a standard feature, which was previously only exclusive for higher-end trim GTIs. Additionally, the hot hatch gets a new honeycomb grille that encompasses X-shaped LED fog lights to provide further illumination on the road.

Inside, Volkswagen is doing what many other car companies are doing. The GTI is ditching the outdated analog dashboard for a new liquid crystal display (LCD) dashboard. The steering wheel also gets a heating feature as standard with touch-sensitive buttons. It'll also get an upgraded Harman Kardon audio system. Under the hood, it'll most likely be a 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder paired with a six-speed manual transmission.

Expect the hot hatch to come near the end of 2021 at a starting price of around $28,595.
